On The Corner Of Broadway....And The Narrow Way

                The world with man on it is only 6000 years old....6 millennia....60 centuries. Now you can wage the 'young earth/old earth' debate if you want but that is not the focus of this post. Fifty-nine of those centuries moved along as to scientific or military progress....on a slowly rising curve with a few sizable bumps....but in about 1900....that curve took off like a rocket! That was what Daniel wrote about with...."But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Man shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." (Daniel 12:4) At one moment a man is laying down in the skeleton of what would become known as a plane....and go airborne for a few hundreds yards....and they called it flying. If a child was born on that day....he or she would not yet quite be 66 years old when Neil Armstrong rocketed to the moon. And today....because of greed....artificial intelligence is in effect about to tell us....to get out of the kitchen if we can't stand the heat. Nope....this is it folks....that which Daniel wrote about!
                 The rocks will be flying towards us in the cosmos at some point. There will be an earthquake similar to whatever shook the continental plates apart. More pandemics are coming....and famine. Eighty years ago....a week....we tested a nuclear bomb for the first time. That may be the...."great sword"....that God's Word described in Revelation 6:4. Mock the thought all you want of Israel's relationship with God....but your life is about to change because of that tiny plot of land at just about the center of the earth. 1948 was the Christian's wake-up call.
                  The core of the problem that we have is as old as man himself. We just do not....on our side....think that we are that bad! We actually think that God is pleased with us and rewarded us with Donald Trump! We do think that the Democrats are that bad....what with abortion and LGBTQ. Oh yes....God will judge them....but not us.
                  We give God great lip service.....and fill our megachurches every week....and put republicans in office....what more could He possibly want? Well He wants a broken heart. He wants tears and remorse. He wants love for others. If we want mercy then we would have to extend mercy. 
                  God has taken away all the men who had been warning us. Interesting the name of that avenue in New York City isn't it....Broadway....the hub of  "commerce and tourism and entertainment" as it is dubbed....but Jesus told us in John 7...."Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it."
