That We Might Rally Around Them....

                Germany was in a similar situation in 1933. The hated Weimar government was gone....and the national socialists were going to make Germany great again....of which the German church had entwined itself around. A Confessing Church formed in an unsuccessful attempt to keep the political movement from dominating the church. 
                 We need a confessing church today! We have had a Confessing Movement for about twenty years that formed in a very successful attempt to keep liberal doctrine and progressivism out of their own mainline congregations....but what we need today is something beyond that.
                 The evangelical church has entwined itself around the MAGA movement. It is very ecumenical with nonsense and heretical charismatic teachers and prophets and apostles all over the place....shoulder to shoulder with well-known evangelical megachurch pastors and evangelists. If you have never watched the Paula White video from the 2020 election where she is fulminating against the bad angels....and calling her good angels from Africa and South America to come in defense of Trump....you most definitely need to....for this is the heart of this 'Christian' support for Donald Trump. Just Google....Paula White YouTube. Angels.
                 This is what the evangelical movement has become....and why we need a very visible confessing response....not just the namby-pamby sermon where the pastor admits that only God can help us....but warns no one in his congregation of the wolves feasting on them. These type of sermons are staples today....and worthless in protecting and guiding the sheep.
                  Well....God knows what we truly need....not me.....it's just my way of pleading with Him to give us a man or many men who will stand up to what is going on in the evangelical church of today....and specifically warn us that Donald Trump was not sent to help us or anyone....so that we can rally with him or with them. 
                  We don't deserve it....for we 'built this city' as much as anyone else. God has spared us from this particular delusion....but there is delusion and deception everywhere today. May He....if it be His perfect will....restore in us trust in our only hope...that of His Son....our Lord and our Savior....and our coming King....Jesus Christ!
