Let me start off with this....right now Drudge is linking to an article from one of the British tabloids that somehow considers it news that a well-known pastor in the United States....(Greg Laurie)....believes that the war in the Ukraine is related to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. One would have to be totally oblivious to what so many in the Christian church have said about the end-times....this for a half century at least....to make it sound like this is some kind of news. Then again....this is the UK....but this should be said also....we in most of the Christian church in America do not mention the Second Coming anymore. Oh....it's still in our doctrine.....but we are way too sophisticated today to talk about the Tribulation and the Antichrist and things like that....for that would only bring ridicule to us.....which is what we more than anything today want to avoid.....ridicule.
It is not Putin's war in itself that points to the imminent return of Jesus Christ....for even if there were no war the evidence of the Lord's return is literally everywhere in the news....and has been so.....increasingly.....for decades. Putin could be hugging everyone right now and the believer with any discernment at all would still know....not only know but hope.....for the imminent return of the King of Kings in power and glory! As for Putin's threatening nukes....this type of war is pure biblical prophesy.....and his playing a mediator role with Israel and Iran....is textbook prophesy in many quarters. Imagine how ridiculously worthless Putin's signature on any peace treaty would be?
There are so many variables on what is going on in the Ukraine.....but there are also some things that we know for certain....one being that war on a worldwide scale is now a high probability. It is difficult to impossible to make adequate preparations when variables are concerned.....but in the situation that we are in....it is not difficult to understand that we simply must prepare for war.
The citizenry needs to be informed that the United States is most likely headed for war. A proclamation such as that will certainly be everything from challenged to ignored to accused of being a hoax....like the current war in Ukraine was.....but the government....both aisles of the political spectrum.....need to do their best to let us know that life in America is most likely about to change. Active military personal need to understand this. All military procurements must be expedited. All reservists and the National Guard need to realize what the situation is....and it is only right that young men need to know that a draft is a real and imminent possibility.
Prepare as we must....our hope is not in military might.....nor in horses and chariots and princes....for the Lord Jesus Christ is our hope....and our rock....and our fortress....and our deliverer....and our shield....and our salvation. (from Psalm 18)
