Yeah I do believe that today's total solar eclipse is a sign from God. I don't believe that every solar eclipse is a sign.....but I believe that this one is. It's almost like it's some kind of protocol that God uses....a convention of sorts. Something is about to happen....and He let's us know in advance. Indeed Amos tells us in 3:7...."For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets"....and in chapter 8 verse 9 we read...."And in that day, 'declares the Lord God, I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight'.
They thought that the Titanic was unsinkable. I can't remember the origin of the quote but someone involved said...."Even God could not sink this ship!" The Titanic was a sign to Britain....and there were so many more signs. The space shuttle Challenger had a multi-cultural crew....male and female....scientist, military and civilian...Caucasian, Asian, African-American...Christian, Jewish and Buddhist. It represented mankind....and the name implies that we were challenging even the heavens. It was a sign to us on what was ahead.
Luke describes what happened just before Jesus said...."Father, into your hands I commit my spirit"....."It was now the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour." Just about all the translations say...."the whole land" or "the entire land."
In less than an hour as I sit here and type....a total solar eclipse will begin in our land in Texas....and work its way close to where I am.....and then up into Maine.....from Texas to Maine! So what might have been "the whole land" as Luke phrased it?
I have come to believe....as science over the decades expanded the information on the April 3, 33 A.D. solar eclipse....that it was a solar eclipse....in God's perfect timing....and a' earthquake....that tore the curtains on the temple.
God is giving us multiple and extraordinary signs....clear to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear....that King Jesus is already mounted....and that along with His holy angels will soon appear in power and righteous judgment. Maranatha....Lord Jesus Come....for violence is overtaking the earth....and delusion abounds.

Update: I'm watching The Weather Channel live feeds from different locations as the eclipse moves to the northeast.....and I wanted to give my impressions. First of all during the totality....the images were indeed enthralling....but as the feeds move from one location to another I found myself focusing more on the reactions of the crowd....and I have to wonder how close we are getting to worshiping the sun? The one Weather Channel reporter who was in tears said that you can't help but feel that...."There's something bigger happening in the universe.....we're all one.....we're all one! I just hope that every human being finds something that gives them that energy....that peace." Folks Please take that with but a grain of salt...but God's Word tells us in Revelation 1:7...."Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen." I can't help but imagine the glory when Jesus appears in the clouds! There was another comment just now concerning the eclipse...."There's something way bigger out there than this tiny experience that I'm having on this planet." Yes there is!"
