"Blessed Is He Who Waits....And Comes To The One Thousand Three Hundred And Thirty-Five Days"

           It's probably not necessary to ask if you have ever been there.....because at three shows a day....ten months of the year....and 2,050 people in attendance for each show....for almost a half century....in two locations....as more than a million people sit in those seats each year.....most evangelicals today must have been there at least once....Sight & Sound Theater....this one in Lancaster where I and my family were this afternoon in attendance.
           So assuming that you are at least aware of the musical & biblical theatrical plays....and how they produce a new one every year....or bring one back from years previous....this year it is.....Daniel.
           I was a little concerned that the play might just highlight the lion's den and the fiery furnace and the dreams and statue....but those concerns were needless.....for they did a remarkable job at conveying the entire message of the book of Daniel...and if you read these posts with any regularity you know that I am commenting on that biblical book often. 
           Folks I'm not a Broadway person. I've been many places around the world but haven't been to New York City since the 1964 World's Fair.....but these Sight & Sound productions are simply amazing. Daniel had Nebuchadnezzar's....(I think that they got the Babylonian king right by the way)....they had the dream statue flying through the air....and the actual statue that Nebuchadnezzar had built optically appearing as if it was sixty cubits or about ninety feet tall....and Belshazzar's Feast....and the writing on the wall....could have been right out of our tabloid headline news today.
           Sitting there and looking straight ahead and to the left and the right.....where the stage is extended....at the representation of Babylon....was not only an exquisite vista but extraordinarily realistic! You are probably aware of the live animals that are part of the play....and that is just wonderful to experience....as this is a production for all ages.
            Even with all this praising of the production....and recommending to you that you try to find some open seats left for this year....I probably would not be doing a post on it if it were not for the fact that we are living Daniel right now in America. This theatrical choice for 2024....in my opinion.....was not a random uneventful selection....for there is some Divine purpose here...as evangelicals are getting a crash course in that important book of prophecy.  Jeremiah....the prophet older than Daniel....plays a prominent role....as does Ezekiel. There was no interpreting of the time periods that none of us today absolutely know the meaning of for sure....but the warnings are there....and the continuous praise or our God is there....and the drama is there....and the sure hope is there!

""But you. [Daniel] go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days." Daniel....12:12 in the title....and 12:13 here at the end.
